KU Summer Art Camp 2026

2026 Summer Art Camps at KU!

Join us for a summer filled with creative exploration, art making, and adventure. Each week-long program is open to campers entering grades 1-12. (new camps for grades 10th, 11th, 12th this year!)  Each camp is a full day, 9 am-4 pm. Each class is max of 20 students with 3 adult helpers. Class themes are studio and project based, taking advantage of the beautiful art studios in the Sharadin Art Building.  Studio based learning may include painting, printmaking, textile creation, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, photography and printmaking.

Campers are encouraged to wear clothing they can get dirty, bring along a water bottle, a packed lunch and snacks, and plenty of sunscreen for outdoor exploring. We'll break up the day with lots of outdoor time playing games and exploring the buildings and grounds of KU. All classes are taught by certified art teachers and KU art student assistants.

Class themes are TBD, sign up portal will be active early March 2026. Registration directions will be posted on this website.

Each week will offer 5 classes by age group (1st&2nd grades), (3rd&4th grades), (5th & 6th grades), (7th, 8th, 9th grades), (10th, 11th, 12th grades).
