VPA Open Houses

Join us for a College of Visual and Performing (VPA) Open House! Learn about programs of study, meet faculty, visit classes, and tour state-of-the-art facilities.

THE NEXT VPA OPEN HOUSE WILL BE November 3rd, 2021.

High school seniors and transfer students applying to KU may also pre-register for and participate in an Audition (music majors only). High school juniors and sophomores are also invited to attend this event to get a head-start on their college selection process.

VPA OPEN HOUSE SCHEDULE

8:30 a.m. Registration in Schaeffer Auditorium (East Side Entrance Door 12)
9:00 a.m. Dean's Welcome 
9:15 a.m. Admissions and Financial Aid, Q & A
10:00 a.m. Information sessions to learn about majors in Visual Arts, Music, Cinema & Communication
11:00 a.m. Specialized tours for Visual Arts, Music, Cinema & Communication/Visit Classes
12:00 p.m. Music Auditions (optional, pre-registration required)
1:00 p.m. Campus tours and/or visit classes and/or lunch on your own
5:00 p.m. Concert, Schaeffer Auditorium

No portfolio review or audition is required for admission to these majors: Art History; Cinema, Television, and Media Production; Music Business; Communication Studies; Social Media Theory and Strategy.

If you can't make it to the Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) Open House, see if you can attend one of the other open house dates offered by the Office of Admissions.

Please check your email for your confirmation and parking pass.

Registration closes two days prior to the event. If you miss the deadline, please consider attending as a walk-in registrant. Arrive at the VPA Open House before 9:00 a.m. to complete the registration card.

Apply to KU during this event and have your $35 admission application waived! Admissions personnel will be available to answer questions regarding the application process, programs of study, and transfer credits.
