Employee Accommodation Requests
Kutztown University is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified employees and applicants with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable laws.
How to Request an Accommodation
All employee accommodation requests are coordinated through Human Resources.
To begin the process:
- Submit the ADA Reasonable Accommodation Request Form to Human Resources
- Follow the instructions provided by HR regarding medical documentation and next steps
Human Resources will guide employees through the interactive process in coordination with the ADA Coordinator and the Reasonable Accommodations Panel.
Role of the Disability Services Office (DSO)
The Disability Services Office (DSO) does not manage employee accommodation requests.
However, DSO may assist with:
- Identifying assistive technology options
- Coordinating accessible furniture
- Exploring environmental or workspace adjustments
These consultations:
- Do not require medical documentation
- Focus on using existing university resources
