The best time of year is here! In 2008 Congress approved a resolution designating "National Veterans Awareness Week" to emphasize the need to develop educational programs regarding the contributions of veterans to the country (S.Res.692). Kutztown University recognizes and honors our military and veteran community and their families. Join us as we celebrate with a week of activities. 

Hosted by KU’s Military & Veterans Services and partnering campus offices. Community events are included. All events are free and many are open to the public, unless noted.

Vets Rising: Creating an Ecosystem for Veteran Career Growth & Entrepreneurship  
Tuesday, November 3rd: 11AM-1PM 
MSU 250 

KU's Military & Veteran Services team proudly invites you to join an interactive panel of business leaders with experience building and scaling their business, creating and expanding networks of businesses, non-profits, and public entities that serve as an ecosystem of support for veteran entrepreneurs and professionals.  Lunch from Mission BBQ will be provided, sponsored by First Commonwealth Credit Union.

Spotlight on Mental Health Expo 
Co-Sponsored with Health & Wellness, Women’s & LGBTQ+ Resource Centers, Military & Veterans Services 
Tues. November 10  

Phenomenal Mental Health Speaker, Resource Fair, Documentary and Panel discussion with on veterans and others struggling with PTS/TBI and innovative treatment and resources that are helping them to heal.  This is one of the biggest events of the year.  Please plan on attending and supporting when your schedule permits.  

Care Package Preparation  
Thursday, November 12th: 11am-1pm, 5-6pm 
MSU 312 

KU will be collecting items throughout October for care packages that we will be sending to deployed servicemembers.  Volunteers and team members will assemble care package on this day. 

Indigenous Showcase Featuring Expert Speaker on the Navaho Code-talkers  
Monday, November 16th 

KU’s Multicultural Center will host the annual Indigenous Showcase, an amazing opportunity for the KU community to discover and explore Indigenous communities and history.  In partnership with M&VS, an expert on the WWII US Service-members, the Navaho Code-talkers will be presenting information on their powerful contribution to the Allied victory against Axis Powers.
