The best time of year is here! In 2008 Congress approved a resolution designating "National Veterans Awareness Week" to emphasize the need to develop educational programs regarding the contributions of veterans to the country (S.Res.692). Kutztown University recognizes and honors our military and veteran community and their families. Join us as we celebrate with a week of activities.
Hosted by KU’s Military & Veterans Services and partnering campus offices. Community events are included. All events are free and many are open to the public, unless noted.

National Veterans Small Business Week

The Small Business Administration (SBA) recognizes the annual National Veterans Small Business Week (NVSBW) as a time to celebrate and empower service members, veterans, National Guard and Reserve members, and military spouse entrepreneurs. During this week resources, training, and tools are provided for your business startup.

Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to celebrate the service of our MilVet students over lunch and participate in activities supporting the military community.
Attendees are invited to make cards for deployed service members, play Military BINGO, and make jewelry for military families.

This event is especially for transitioning service members, veterans, and civilian members of the military community.
Meet online with recruiters from Lockheed Martin, SAIC, LexisNexis, Los Alamos National Lab, Internal Revenue Service, National Security Agency, TRISTAR, U.S. Postal Service, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Workday, and more. Full list of employers.
Most participating employers require U.S. citizenship. During the event, you will be able to visit all the booths and meet with employers of interest via text, chat, and video.
