KU Military & Veteran Services VA Work-Study Program

KU is proud to partner with the US Department of Veteran Affairs in offering on-campus employment opportunities to military-connected students. Students who are currently utilizing any VA education benefit and are ¾ time may qualify for VA work-study.
Work-Study students support all operations of the Military & Veteran Services Center and are key to maintaining the welcoming and inclusive culture and high level of customer service our center provides. Work-study students provide support in the following areas:
  • Respond to phone calls, emails, and walk-in visits to the Vet Center.
  • Maintain a clean and organized Center for Military & Veteran Students.
  • Provide customer service to Military & Veteran students using VA or military education benefits.
  • Assist Vet Center staff in supporting M&VS led events and representing M&VS at other university events.
  • Support the Student Veterans Association (SVA) club and related activities.
  • Take ownership of and support a range of projects including Military & Veteran related displays around campus, M&VS social media engagement, M&VS website management, and other projects that support and celebrate KU Military & Veteran students.
