KU Sport Management Students Lead Fitness Clinic and Competition
Kutztown University Sport Management students and faculty, in partnership with the Student Recreation Center, host an annual Fitness Clinic and Competition at the Keith Haring Fitness Court. The event brings together KU students, Kutztown Area High School students, and community members for a day of physical activity, teamwork, and friendly competition. Participants engage in a variety of fitness challenges designed to encourage healthy lifestyles, build connections, and celebrate the importance of physical wellness.
Held in celebration of Keith Haring Day, the event honors the legacy of the Kutztown native and internationally recognized artist while promoting health, wellness, and community engagement. For Sport Management students, the event serves as a valuable experiential learning opportunity, allowing them to apply classroom knowledge through hands-on involvement in event planning, organization, leadership, and community outreach. By helping coordinate and facilitate the event, students develop practical skills while making a positive impact on the campus and surrounding community.
