This newly revised minor (2026) offers students more flexibility in selecting courses in English that interest them. English is not exclusively a literary studies major, but, rather, an English studies major, including all courses with the ENGL prefix. Our program offers courses in composition, rhetorical theory, linguistics, film and film theory, game studies, cultural studies, in addition to significant offerings in literature. This minor truly allows students to explore their interests across a broad range of genres and textual mediums while honing skills in critical reading and research.
