Students who will not be completing their degree requirements in the current academic semester may request Permission to Participate in the Commencement Ceremony. Students may obtain the Permission to Participate in the Commencement Ceremony form in the Office of the Registrar. Students who are granted approval may purchase graduate regalia, cross the stage and have their name announced. However, their name will not appear in the Commencement Program. These students may request a copy of the Commencement Program for the ceremony in which their name will appear. Please remember that even though you participated in a commencement ceremony you must still apply to graduate prior to completing your degree requirements.

Graduate students must complete all degree requirements in order to participate in the commencement ceremony. Graduate students must complete the application for candidacy. Please see instructions below on how to apply for candidacy through MyKU.

Commencement Information
Grad Fest
Each semester, Kutztown University Student Services, Inc. (KUSSI) sponsors a Graduation Festival for graduating seniors. The event takes place in the Multipurpose Room of the McFarland Student Union, and is a "one-stop-shop" for students to purchase their cap and gown, receive graduation tickets, order class rings and graduation announcements, and more. Many campus departments are present to help students with any of their graduation needs. The festival also includes giveaways and the chance to win great prizes!

Fall 2019 Grad Fest Tuesday, October 29, 2019 Graduation Festival held in MSU 218 from 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Graduation Friday, May 10, 2019 Master's and Doctoral degrees in all four colleges Saturday, May 11, 2019 – 9:00 AM Bachelor's degrees in the College of Education and College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Saturday, May 11, 2019 – 2:30 AM Bachelor's degrees in the College of Business and College of Visual & Performing Arts Spring 2020 Grad Fest Monday, March 23, 2020 Graduation Festival held in MSU 218 from 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM.
