Math Summer Camp
Who is eligible to participate?
Kids who will be entering 5th , 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in Fall 2021.
When is the camp?
August 16-20, 2021 from 9:00am-3:30pm.
What will happen on a typical day?
The camp will be held virtually.
- Morning Session: 9:00am-12:00pm
Campers will attempt math problems in the style of AMC 8, a problem solving competition for kids in grade 8 or below, followed by presentations and discussion led by Kutztown mathematics professors and students.
- Lunch Break: 12:00-1:30pm
- Afternoon Session Part 1: 1:30-2:20pm
Campers will learn problem solving tips and tricks from Kutztown mathematics professors.
- Afternoon Session Part 2: 2:40-3:30pm
Activities will vary throughout the week (examples of potential activities may include additional discussion of problems, math-related magic and tricks, code breaking, and other fun mathematical games and puzzles)
What are the camp's registration fees?
$200 per child
The fee may be paid electronically using this link or via check; more details on how to pay by check will be sent to registered campers (or contact Dr. Ju Zhou).
How do I register my child for the camp?
