Dr. Laurie McMillan 

Dr. McMillan is an accomplished scholar with a focus on feminist writing and rhetoric. She is the dean in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She has prior experience with academic leadership initiatives such as collaboratively developing new major programs and supporting teaching and learning while she served in associate dean and department chair positions.

Dr. Michele Baranczyk

Dr. Michele Baranczyk is an assistant professor in psychology who specializes in industrial-organizational psychology, with published research on the impact of feedback and gender bias in the workplace and employment benefits. She teaches “Psychology of Gender” and courses on research design and data collection.

Dr. Moira Conway  

Dr. Moira Conway is an associate professor in geography.  Her research interests include using GIS analysis to examine economic, planning and public health issues.  A recent publication models geographic barriers to ovarian cancer, and she has examined other issues of social equity. Dr. Conway is an advocate for women in STEM through her involvement with the Commission on the Status of Women, Women in STEM, Girls in STEM Day, and Women in Transportation, as well as through serving as an undergraduate research mentor for many women undergraduate students.

Dr. Lyn McQuaid 

Dr. Lyn McQuaid is an associate professor in mathematics; she created and teaches “Women in Mathematics,” and co-organizes “High School Mathematics Day for Girls”. Dr. McQuaid serves as a faculty advisor through the Association for Women in Mathematics, has served as the chair, vice chair, and secretary for the Commission on the Status of Women, and is a member of the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Advisory Board. She has published and presented research at national conferences on encouraging women to study mathematics and has received both the Wiesenberger and Schellenberg Awards to exemplify her excellence in teaching at KU.

Senior Personnel 

Dr. Darren Achey

Dr. Darren Achey is an associate professor in the physical sciences who studies inorganic chemistry that focuses on the interaction between molecules and surfaces at interfaces. Dr. Achey leads student research groups and is an active delegate for APSCUF.

Dr. Jason Crockett

Dr. Jason Crockett is a professor in anthropology and sociology whose research focuses in areas of sexualities and gender, social movements, communities, gaming and internet culture, religion, knowledge/science, methods, and race/ethnicity. Dr. Crockett teaches “Sociology of Gender,” “LGBTQ Studies,” and serves on the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Advisory Board.

Dr. Kaoutar El Mounadi

Dr. Kaoutar El Mounadi is an associate professor in biological sciences whose research focuses on plant pathology and the molecular/cellular biology of fungi. Dr. El Mounadi is an advocate for women in STEM through her involvement with Women in STEM and Girls in STEM Day. She serves as the vice chair for the International Faculty Caucus, and an alternate delegate for ASPCUF-KU.

external evaluator

Theresa Bruckerhoff 

Theresa Bruckerhoff is Vice President and Research Associate for Curriculum Research and Evaluation, Inc. (CRE). With 25 years of experience, she has evaluated projects at the state and federal level. For REVEALS, she will conduct a non-biased project evaluation throughout the term of the project, including assisting in the development of evaluation and assessment tools and protocols, providing formative and summative evaluation data, and collaborating on project reporting requirements.
