Kutztown Folk Festival History Trail

On Saturday, July 1, the opening day of the Kutztown Folk Festival, director Heather Zimmerman unveiled a new History Trail, recognizing eight prominent members of the community who have contributed to the continuation of tradition and culture at the festival over the years. The ceremony featured a proclamation from the borough of Kutztown issued by Mayor Jim Schlegel, recognizing eight individuals for their achievements. The history trail is composed of a series of eight corner kiosks, consisting of iconic images and texts honoring the achievements, service and contributions of each community member featured on the trail. This is the first year of the history trail which will be expanded in 2024.
