Commencement

Thank You from the Provost

The weekend’s commencement ceremony was an amazing event. Many factors contributed to how lovely it was, including great speeches, good planning by administrators and staff, the efforts of the musicians who participated in the ceremony and more. Key in the joy were the faculty who attended the ceremony to support their students. The looks on the faces of faculty who see the student who struggled and made it, or the student who was a star all four years, or the student who consistently did the hard work are wonderful to observe. The way that students respond to seeing their favorite faculty members in attendance at their commencement is truly delightful. I extend a special thank you to the faculty who attended the ceremony Saturday, Dec. 16. I wish you all a rejuvenating intersession period and an excellent start to the new year.
