Congratulations Toyia Heyward
Congratulations to Toyia Heyward, senior executive associate to the president, for being named the coordinator of Board Operations and Trustee Relations for the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. Toyia’s new appointment will be effective Aug. 12. Please join me in thanking Toyia for her outstanding work and dedication to Kutztown University since her arrival in 2008, and especially for her support of the Office of the President over the past nine years. Toyia will be truly missed at KU and will always be a Golden Bear. We are fortunate to be able to continue to work with her in her new role with the State System. Once again, congratulations Toyia and thank you for everything.

Low pressure from Canada will spin some disturbances and fronts our way the next few days. As for today, not too bad, but a shower or thundershower cannot be ruled out. Partly sunny with a high near 90.
Freshman and Parent Orientation
New Student Orientation continues today through Saturday, July 15. Please join us in welcoming the newest members of the Golden Bear family, more than 700 new students and their families, to campus. Orientation programming consists of academic and student life presentations.
