KUR Receives Seven Nominations for National Broadcasting Conference for Second Consecutive Year
Kutztown University Radio (KUR) received seven nominations in different categories for the 83rd Annual Intercollegiate Broadcasting System Conference. For the previous few years, the conference has been held virtually, but this year, it will be held in person in New York. This special event bestows awards to colleges and universities to recognize exceptional programming and student radio stations on a national level. The categories KUR was nominated for include Best Specialty Show (non-music), Best On-Air Pledge Drive, Best Community Outreach Event, Best Spot News Interview, Best Sports Talk Program and Best Program Director.
Strong high pressure over Hudson Bay will be the reason for a tranquil day. Mostly sunny skies are expected. High temperature near 38.
Susan Haas Retirement Celebration
Please join the Office of Financial Aid in celebrating the retirement of our co-worker Susan Haas 1-3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 209 Stratton Administration Center. Susan has seen a lot of changes in federal regulations over her 31 years of service to the university. And many of those requirements were not easy to implement or explain, yet through it all, she has been a steady voice of patience, empathy and genuine sincerity to our students and families. We wish Susan a relaxing retirement now as “Momo” with no more files to review.
