Ireland Study Abroad

Drs. Lanter, Vogel and Johnson are leading the KU-Ireland Summer Program. So far they've visited Belfast, Dublin, Cork and are now in Killarney. Pictured are 21 Golden Bears near an ancient church in Aghadoe overlooking Lough Leane. Our students have been learning about Ireland's unique early Christian history, its deep literary traditions and how identity is formed through landscape, tradition and history.
