Golden Bear Field Hockey Wins First NCAA Title
Manchester, N.H. - The Kutztown University Field Hockey team made history Sunday, when it won its first-ever NCAA Division II Championship. The Golden Bears defeated East Stroudsburg, 2-1, at Saint Anselm College.
The championship is the first of its kind for KU's NCAA varsity sports.
Jillian Buchman and Greenleigh McGehee scored second half goals as third-ranked and third-seeded Kutztown Field Hockey erased a 1-0 deficit late in the third quarter and held on to defeat top-ranked and the number one seed, East Stroudsburg.
