KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Congratulations to Amanda Vasko, fiscal technician, Accounts Payable, on being named Kutztown University Employee of the Month for December 2025.

Vasko's nomination came from several individuals, which can be read below.

Patricia Brenner, Counselor Education and Student Affairs

"Amanda consistently demonstrates exceptional patience and understanding in every interaction. Her reliability and responsiveness make her an invaluable resource to our university.

Beyond her day-to-day responsibilities, she truly exemplifies the purpose and spirit of KU through her commitment to collaboration, mentorship and intentional working relationships. She actively fosters connections, supports others in their growth and contributes to a culture rooted in respect and shared success. Albert Fu, Society, History, and Culture

"Many faculty have noted how Amanda is essential in helping us navigate the EMS Travel Management system. Without her, a major part of our job (scholarly growth) would not be possible. I can't imagine the number of emails she gets from all of us, yet she is amazing at helping us through the process."

Joanne Cohen, Counselor Education and Student Affairs

"Faculty members seeking support for scholarly research and professional development at Kutztown University and PASSHE receive assistance from two individuals who stand out as crucial facilitators of faculty professional development achievements, one of whom is Amanda. Amanda provides ongoing, expert, behind-the-scenes instruction and guidance to faculty to enable faculty to navigate scholarly research application and reimbursement processes. These processes are extensive and consist of multiple components, including uploading documents and evidence files such as programs and acceptance letters, summaries and photos of work, current certifications, other needed documentation, proper formatting, uploading, obtaining signatures, calculating a budget, etc. These processes sometimes feel cumbersome to faculty. Due to Amanda's help, the red tape does not have to impede the professional development enterprise. Amanda makes the grind smooth, manageable and bearable. She is consistently and immediately available, promptly responds to questions and without exception, she shows support, sensitivity and responsiveness to needs of faculty. She can be available to help faculty identify sources of funding and required documents to achieve professional development ends."
