KU to Host 2023 Entrepreneurship Week March 27-31

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Kutztown University's College of Business, the Entrepreneurial Leadership Center (ELC) and the KU Small Business Development Center (SBDC) are proud to present Entrepreneurship Week 2023, Monday, March 27 to Friday, March 31. This annual event provides students and the local community with valuable insights, strategies and tools from experts to help launch or strengthen their businesses.

The week's events include panel discussions, workshops and presentations led by industry professionals. The schedule is as follows:

Monday, March 27, features a Non-Profit Panel Luncheon noon to 2 p.m., 218 McFarland Student Union. Panelists include Holly Parker from TriCounty Community Network, Dan Price from Mosaic Community Land Trust, Casey Fenoglio from Tower Health and Denise Williams from Be ReZilient Healing Through the Arts.

Tuesday, March 28, a QuickBooks training session will be held 1-2:30 p.m., 312 McFarland Student Union. The day's keynote speaker is Dr. Kryn McClain, co-owner of Paragon Behavioral Health Services, a women-owned behavioral health company that has grown from two employees to 76 and from $400,000 to a projection of $3 million in annual revenue in under five years. Her speech will take place in 11 a.m. to noon, 218 McFarland Student Union, followed by lunch noon to 1 p.m., 223 McFarland Student Union.

Wednesday, March 29, begins with an Entrepreneurship in the Arts Luncheon 11 a.m. to noon, Old Main Georgian Room. Panelists include Keri Shultz, president of Reading Musical Foundation and Emily Hammel-Shaver from Lumos Communications. Later in the day, there will be a Build Your Brand Workshop 5-8 p.m., 25 Old Main.

Thursday, March 30, the Young Entrepreneurs Panel will take place 11 a.m. to noon, 200 Academic Forum. The panel features student innovators who are in the process of bringing creative new ideas to life. Panelists include KU students Andrew Abt, Dakota Hirst, Amedeo Citro and Rebecca Donohoue. Later in the day, there will be a Business Model Workshop, led by John Dever and Dr. Shawn Riley, and a Social Media Workshop, led by Rachael Wolfe, 3-5 p.m., 202 Academic Forum.

The week's events conclude Friday, March 31, with a Social Impact and Sustainability Panel Luncheon 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 218 McFarland Student Union. Panelists include Laurie Dawkins from Workplace Talent Solutions, Josh Mastromatto and Scott Woodrow.
