Danenhower Named KU Employee of the Month for January 2022

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Congratulations to Justine Danenhower, custodial worker, Facilities, on being named Kutztown University Employee of the Month for January 2022.

Danenhower’s nomination from Tammy Becker, management technician, Academic Affairs, reads:

“Stratton Administration Center sees much traffic. Justine is always seen working hard to keep the building clean and disinfected for the benefit of all visitors and employees. Many times, things pop up unexpectedly; a spilled coffee on the way in the building, salt on the stairs or an overflowing trash bag from a farewell party.

Whatever it is, Justine is always there to help remedy the situation. She is always quick to give you a morning welcome as she tackles her numerous tasks throughout the day. It is wonderful to have her as the overseer of the administration building's needs. Thank you for everything that you do!”

Nominations are collected from students, faculty and staff, and the Employee of the Month is selected by the Human Resources Advisory Council. A winner will be selected each month, and out of the 12 monthly winners one will be selected as Employee of the Year. The Employee of the Month will receive a plaque, reserved parking and a $100 monetary gift sponsored by President Hawkinson.
