Science Olympiad at KU needs Volunteers
Science Olympiad really needs help. It's getting closer to the date and we are short-staffed. Volunteers are needed to help KU host the CE Regional Science Olympiad Thursday, March 20. The Science Olympiad is a competition held on campus that hosts eight middle schools and 28 high schools from nine counties. 600+ students will compete in approximately 46 events based in science disciplines such as biology, earth science, chemistry, physics, computers and technology; and we need your help to make all that happen. You do not need a science background to be a volunteer. We need help with registrations, lobby info, food sales/delivery, set-up, scoring, event assistance and so much more. You can judge an event or help with the Appeals Board. Club advisers get your club involved. Advertise for us in your classroom with this PowerPoint Slide. Please contact our volunteer coordinator, Dr. Michael Davis at midavis@kutztown.edu. If you are interested and would like more information, please check out our website. We look forward to having you as part of the team.

CEL Journal Post: Take 5, Part 1: Things to Do in the Middle of the Semester
The middle of the semester is critical to gather feedback on what's working and where students are struggling. Students have settled into the course, but there is still time to make meaningful adjustments. In this week's CEL Journal post, we discuss how small adjustments can make the semester's second half more successful for everyone.
