The Diversity Prize is sponsored by the Department of Social Work faculty to encourage students to celebrate their own diversity and view it from a strength-based perspective. We awarded one winner from the BSW program and one from the MSW program. Each winner received a $500 cash award. Our 2025 Diversity Prize winners are MSW student Oyinkansola Lawal (left) and BSW student Sebastian Hess (right).

Weather
Weather forecasts are provided by KU's Dr. Michael Davis and "Monsoon Mike" Regensburger
A purifying front passed last night and finally clears the way for the return of partly sunny skies today, but it will be unseasonably cold with temperatures more reminiscent of February than April. High temperatures will only be about 42 degrees and winds will be gusting as high as 25 mph. Put that in your wind chill calculator and it will feel closer to 32 degrees. Lows tonight will be about 26 with a wind chill of 11 degrees. Ouch. What happened to spring?
