Anthropology Celebrates Seniors and Lambda Alpha Inductees
The anthropology program in the Department of Society, History and Culture recently celebrated our graduating seniors and recognized student academic achievements. We inducted Alivia Case, Josephine Coddington, Amarah Karlick and Gemma Taylor into the Lambda Alpha National Anthropology Honor Society. We also recognized Nathan Rein as our outstanding anthropology graduate. Congratulations to all award recipients and honors inductees.

Join the KU Foundation for a Sweet End-of-Semester Treat
The KU Foundation invites faculty and staff to celebrate the end of the academic year with a complimentary sweet treat from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, outside the Wells-Rapp Center for Mallet Percussion Research. Batch Microcreamery, owned by alumni Manny ’11 and Kylie ’16 Rodriguez, will serve ice cream. As we wrap up another successful semester and welcome summer, we want to thank the KU community for all you do to support our students and campus. This event is rain or shine, so stop by and enjoy a dish of ice cream on us.

KU Print Center Open House
The KU Print Center will be hosting an open house 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, June 1, through Thursday, June 4. Each day we will share updates on the shop and have some "How It's Made" demonstrations to showcase the new capabilities available on site. We hope to see you there.

CLAS Family Fun Summer Picnic Fundraiser
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) invites you to attend our inaugural CLAS scholarship fundraiser event, "Investing in CLAS Student Futures: KU Family, Fun(ds) & Summer Kickoff Picnic," 1-4 p.m. Saturday, June 6, Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center farm site. Our family-friendly, picnic-themed fundraiser will kickstart the summer by celebrating with KU faculty, staff, students, alumni and the community. Our outdoor event will include food and ice cream trucks, cornhole tournament and disc golf contest. Top prizes will be awarded. There will be lawn games, kids’ activities, raffle baskets, music and more. Bring your lawn chairs and sunscreen and join in on the fun. Registration is $30.
