KU Military and Veteran Graduates and Scholars to be Honored

The Center for Military and Veteran Services is excited to host our first Stars and Scholars event 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, Hawkinson Welcome Center, which will celebrate and honor our graduating seniors. The event will also include an induction ceremony for new members of the Veterans National Honors Society and will highlight recent scholarship recipients. The Ray A. Master American Legion will also present two scholarships. All military-connected students are encouraged to attend, as well as faculty and staff who would like to show their support. Planetarium Show Tonight: The Pretty COOL SPACE Movie

"The Pretty COOL SPACE Movie" is an immersive journey from Earth to the edge of the universe. Travel through our solar system, from the rings of Saturn to the icy reaches of Pluto, and witness the grandeur of nebulae, galaxies and black holes. Along the way, explore distant exoplanets and imagine the possibility of life beyond our world. More than just a movie, it’s a breathtaking experience that inspires wonder about humanity’s place in the cosmos. Join us for "The Pretty COOL SPACE Movie" 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, Planetarium. This event is free and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served and the doors will open at 6 p.m. This event includes an optional tour of the astronomical research observatory and, if the weather is good, telescope views of Saturn.
