College of Education Launches 2026-27 Theme: Community Next!
The College of Education (COE) has announced "Community Next!" as its theme for the 2026-27 academic year. Building on recent themes focused on innovation and student success, Community Next! challenges faculty and staff to strengthen connections, deepen partnerships and invest in the relationships that support meaningful learning and growth. A key way the college brings this theme to life is through its COE-Workdays, a series of collaborative gatherings held throughout the year. COE-Workdays create dedicated time and space for faculty and staff to learn from one another, share expertise, address challenges, celebrate successes and engage in conversations that strengthen the college's collective impact. By fostering collaboration across programs and roles, these gatherings help prepare future educators and counselors, strengthen partnerships and advance student success. Community Next! reflects the college's belief that innovation, belonging and strong partnerships are rooted in community. In a university built on connection, collaboration and care, the theme offers an opportunity for all of us to reflect on how we contribute to the communities that help Golden Bears thrive.

Substation Power Outage Canceled
The work that requires our substation to be temporarily shut down for preventative maintenance will be postponed. We are currently looking to reschedule over winter break. As we look at potential dates, we will reach out to various campus members to ensure this temporary outage has minimal to no impact on their operations.

Two-Sport Star Bogovic Brings Home 2025-26 KU Female Freshman of the Year
It took little time for Madilyn Bogovic to make an impact at Kutztown University, and in two different sports. In the fall, Bogovic shined bright on the volleyball court and then into the winter months, she was a star on the alley for KU bowling. To cap her first year, Bogovic was voted the 2025-26 KU Female Freshman of the Year.

Szeplaki's Indoor/Outdoor Success Leads to 2025-26 KU Male Freshman of the Year
It didn't matter if it was inside or outside, freshman pole vaulter Andrew Szeplaki put up high numbers in both and has been voted the 2025-26 KU Male Freshman of the Year.
