Thank You for a Great Summer

On behalf of our entire team, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the departments and individuals who played a role in making this summer season such a success. From housing and dining services, facilities, public safety and police services, custodial staff and every supporting department in between, your dedication, flexibility and teamwork ensured our camps and events ran smoothly and our guests had a positive and memorable experience. A big shoutout goes to our awesome student staff. From day one, they went above and beyond to make sure every guest who visited or stayed on campus had a great experience. Their hard work and dedication didn't go unnoticed; KU is on their minds because of them. The collaboration and commitment to excellence continues to reflect the spirit and strength of our university community. We are truly grateful for everyone and look forward to continued success in the seasons ahead. Stay Golden.

Weather

Weather forecasts are provided by KU's Dr. Michael Davis and "Monsoon Mike" Regensburger

High pressure moves its position a little bit, making for more in the way of clouds today, but mainly of the higher-level variety allowing for some filtered sun to shine through, as well. The sun will also suffer from being at full brightness over our area due to wildfire smoke from Canadian wildfires to our north, making for less-than-desirable air quality. That all said, high temperatures will be about normal for this time of year at about 86.

Faculty Represent KU at PASSHE Women's Consortium Leadership Institute

Drs. Marlene Nanouh Fares and Yasoda Sharma represented Kutztown University at the PASSHE Women’s Consortium (PWC) Leadership Institute July 27-30 at the Toftrees Resort and Conference Center in State College. Dr. Lorin Basden Arnold's office supported and sponsored the participation of faculty from KU, who are now both serving on the Faculty Resiliency Coalition as PWC facilitators. The Leadership Institute encourages the development of several skills: complex, contemporary, multi-layered and multicultural understanding of leadership; strategies to influence decisions and create change; and networking among diverse constituencies at the university and the System level. The selected faculty are supported as they advance professionally through promotion and/or leadership opportunities at the department, university and System level. KU anticipates hosting the PASSHE Women's Consortium Conference in Feb. 2026.
