Reminder of Campus Smoking Policy

All Kutztown University buildings, including residence halls, are designated as smoke free. The use of smoking devices or equipment that includes but is not limited to electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes), vaporizers, hookahs and pipes are strictly prohibited within university facilities. Each building has one entrance designated as an outdoor smoking area. Smoking is not permitted within 25 feet of any main entrance to a residence hall, apartment or residence house. This policy applies to all individuals on campus. Anyone observing violators can remind individuals of the university policy; those who refuse to honor policy can be reported to Public Safety at 610-683-4002.

Jazz Quartet Faculty Concert

Don’t miss the Jazz Quartet Faculty Concert, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17, Schaeffer Auditorium, for a thrilling evening of jazz with Kutztown faculty artists Ben Sher (guitar), Scott Lee (bass), John Riley (drums) and Dan Wilkins (saxophone). This powerhouse quartet will be performing classic jazz standards and original compositions. Come experience the artistry of these world-class musicians. Free and open to all.

Holy Week Services at the Newman Center

Holy Week services at the Saint Christopher Catholic Newman Center will be as follows:
- Holy Thursday, April 17: Mass - 7 p.m.
- Good Friday, April 18: Liturgy - 3 p.m.
- Easter Sunday, April 20: Mass - 11 a.m.

Upcoming spring recess hours are as follows:
Student Recreation Center:

- Friday, April 18: 8-9 a.m., Noon to 1 p.m.

Big Art Day

The Department of Art and Design is hosting its annual Big Art Day at 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 18, 183 MSU. Big Art Day is a cherished tradition that welcomes alumni back to share their experiences and careers in the arts since graduating from Kutztown. This year’s featured alumni include Cole Goldstein, Erika Hewston and Adriano Farinella. The event kicks off with coffee, followed by alumni presentations, a panel Q&A, a luncheon and the presentation of departmental awards. Big Art Day is sponsored in part by the Office of Student Involvement.

Take Your Child to Work Day

Organized by the Commission on the Status of Women, please mark your calendars for this year's 'Take Your Child to Work Day,' Thursday, April 24. This annual event is a wonderful opportunity for children to get a glimpse into the working world and gain a better understanding of their parents' day-to-day responsibilities. It is designed to spark curiosity, inspire young minds and help build a strong educational foundation. We invite you to celebrate with us by bringing your child to the office and having them accompany you during your workday. To participate, please RSVP online. Check-in and registration will be 8:30-8:50 a.m., Boxwood House, where participants will also pick up a swag bag and lunch tickets.

Although the Midterm Progress Survey is now closed, faculty are encouraged to continue sending kudos, raising flags of concern and making referrals in Starfish. To do so, simply select the course and use the appropriate kudos, referral or flag button.
