Transition to Fiori Travel Management

The current Travel Management System (TMS) entry point will be moving from ESS/MSS to Fiori. The TMS is expected to be unavailable during the transition, 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, through noon Saturday, Sept. 20. Once the transition is complete, all entries and approvals for both travel requests and expense reports will be accessible by logging into your ESS portal then navigating to the Fiori Self-Service tab. For more detailed information or questions about this transition, please contact the Accounts Payable team by phone at 610-683-4135 or by email at apinvoice@kutztown.edu.

Traditional American Circus Arts Come to KU

Celebrate Family Day with the first event of the KU Presents! Family Series, 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, Schaeffer Auditorium. The Bindlestiff Family Cirkus will bring special guests Ellie Steingraeben, contortionist/aerialist, and Jasper Murphy, juggler/one-man band, in a program featuring an array of gob-smacking skills. Enjoy the magic of traditional American circus arts at Schaeffer Auditorium. KU faculty and staff can access discounted tickets by logging in with their MyKU login.

Casting 30 Extras for KU Film

Did you ever want to be an extra in a film? We are now casting extras for the film, "The Murder of Alexander Rae." This film will be shown during Dr. Deryl Johnson's new play, "Centralia: The Fire Below." You must be available 7:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24. Transportation, lunch, snacks and costumes will be provided for free. Filming is at Eckley Miners' Village. No experience necessary. An informational meeting/casting event will take place 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 135 Rickenbach. The film is set in 1877 and chronicles the murder and trial of the founder of Centralia, Pa. The play, which includes this film, will premiere in Philadelphia next year. Casting is open to faculty, staff and students. Each extra will receive two free tickets to the premiere of the play. CEL AI Workshop

The Center for Engaged Learning (CEL) will host Writing AI Assignments 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 6 Rohrbach. As AI becomes more common, how can we keep our assignments fresh and relevant? In this session, we'll explore practical ways to pivot and adapt assignments so they remain meaningful. Together, we'll dig into concrete pedagogical techniques, weigh the strengths and weaknesses of AI and develop strategies you can use right away. CEL’s events are designed for you to gather with your colleagues, learn together and leave with a specific outcome to meet your teaching/professional needs.
