Transfer Honor Society Awards Scholarship

Congratulations to senior English Professional Writing major, Antonio Ieraci-Rivera, for earning one of the 14 $1,500 scholarships available through Tau Sigma, the national honor society for transfer students. Established in December 2016 at KU, the Eta Mu chapter is the fourth Tau Sigma chapter within PASSHE. Currently with more than 300 members, this chapter recognizes transfer students who earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher in their first semester at KU. Ieraci-Rivera is the sixth KU student to win a scholarship through this organization. Since transferring from Lehigh Carbon Community College in Fall 2024, Ieraci-Rivera has held a position as a facilitator in the New Student Orientation Office and added a minor in history. After KU, he hopes to continue his education with a master's degree in creative writing.

Weather

Weather forecasts are provided by KU's Dr. Michael Davis and "Monsoon Mike" Regensburger

High pressure shifts to our east, settling in over the northeast U.S. This will allow for rising atmospheric heights and warm air advection today. After this stretch of bitterly cold days and nights, we begin to see a relative warm up this week. High temperature near 27.

Kutztown University Launches "AI at KU" Website

The Kutztown University AI Taskforce is pleased to announce the launch of the AI at KU website, a central hub designed to support, coordinate and advance the university's work in artificial intelligence across teaching, learning, scholarship and operations. The AI at KU website brings together key resources and initiatives that reflect KU's commitment to thoughtful, ethical and innovative uses of AI. At the core of the site is the AI Taskforce Report, which outlines recommendations for our next steps for integrating AI in ways that align with KU's mission, values and strategic priorities. The site also features a regularly updated News and Updates section, highlighting AI-related developments, events and initiatives taking place across campus. Faculty and staff will find a growing collection of AI Learning Opportunities, including workshops, professional development offerings and curated resources designed to build AI literacy and practical skills. A featured resource on the site is the AI Cookbook for Faculty, a practical guide to prompt engineering and classroom applications of generative AI. The cookbook is designed to support faculty experimentation while emphasizing responsible use, transparency and pedagogical alignment. Additional sections spotlight AI initiatives at KU, showcasing how departments, programs and individuals are already leveraging AI to enhance learning, research and student support. The site also provides access to the AI at KU Newsletter, which will provide ongoing updates and insights on AI developments at the university. Finally, the AI at KU website outlines clear pathways for getting involved, whether through participation in working groups, sharing innovative practices or contributing to future initiatives.
