Liberal Arts and Sciences Welcomes Dr. Dewsbury
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences was honored to host Dr. Bryan Dewsbury, associate professor of biology at Florida International University (FIU), principal investigator of the Science Education and Society (SEAS) research program and associate director of the STEM Transformational Institute, Thursday, Sept. 18. Through his leadership of the SEAS program, Dewsbury advances research on the social context of teaching and learning, faculty development in inclusive practices and programming dedicated to cultivating equity in education. During his visit, Dewsbury delivered an engaging keynote address and facilitated faculty workshops focused on student-centered practices in higher education, with particular emphasis on supporting student retention and promoting success in introductory courses. Dewsbury will be providing follow-up materials from his sessions, which will be available to any faculty member interested in further exploring inclusive and impactful teaching approaches. Please email Maddie Anthes if you'd like to receive any of these materials at anthes@kutztown.edu.

Weather
Weather forecasts are provided by KU's Dr. Michael Davis and "Monsoon Mike" Regensburger
We're between a warm and cold front, putting us squarely in a more humid sector than we've been in quite awhile; so ironically, as we begin autumn, it'll feel more summery. With that, also some summer-like shower and thundershower chances later today and tonight. High 82.
