Today: Faculty and Staff Recognition Picnic
The Faculty and Staff Recognition Picnic is today, Thursday, May 21, O'Pake Fieldhouse. University offices will close at 12:30 p.m. so employees may attend the celebration. Employees who elect not to attend the picnic are welcome to remain in their offices and continue working during that time. Due to the Golden Bear softball team hosting the NCAA Atlantic Super Regional game at 2 p.m., recognition presentations at the picnic will begin promptly at 1:15 p.m. This adjusted schedule will allow those interested in attending the game to cheer on the Golden Bears following the recognition program. Due to NCAA protocols, KU faculty and staff will need to purchase tickets online. For those not attending the softball game, the celebration will continue at O’Pake Fieldhouse until 3:30 p.m. with yard games, ice cream treats and time to relax and connect with colleagues. We look forward to celebrating the outstanding contributions and service of our faculty and staff together.
