Welcome Week Events

We're excited to kick off this year's Welcome Week for our new Golden Bears starting the evening of Thursday, Aug. 20. The festivities will continue into the first weeks of classes with tons of events designed to help new students connect with each other, explore campus and have fun. Friday, Aug. 21 is a required day for new students and will feature some of our favorite KU traditions, including the class photo, convocation, college meetings and more. Faculty and Staff Open Recreation this Semester

The West Gym will be reserved for faculty and staff open recreation noon to 1 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays for pickleball, and Tuesdays and Thursdays for basketball. Any guests must be at least 16 years old, sponsored by a current member and purchase a guest pass for $5.

Addressing Mail and Packages for Faculty and Staff

Please avoid including Kutztown University or a P.O. Box Number in the mailing address; instead, use 425 Baldy Road. To ensure faster delivery, include your full name, room number and department name. If you are responsible for ordering for someone in another department, make sure to include that person’s full name, room number and department name. Incorrect addressing may result in mail or packages being returned to the sender. For package inquiries, send the tracking number to mailservices@kutztown.edu.

Accepting Program Proposals

We are accepting program proposals for the 10th Annual Gender and Sexual Minorities Conference, Wednesday, Sept. 30 through Friday, Oct. 2, MSU. This year's theme is "The Personal IS Political." Use the Call For Proposals form to submit a program proposal. Visit the LGBTQ+ Resource Center website for information on past conferences.

PASSHE Summit Volunteer Opportunity

KU is hosting this year's PASSHE Summit Wednesday, Oct. 28 and Thursday, Oct. 29. The theme is "Meeting the Moment Together: Transformation through resilience, access, and innovation." We are seeking volunteers to help make the summit a success and to best serve our attendees. Volunteers will help attendees navigate the campus, get to and from sessions, assist with setup and tear down, facilitate/host zoom or breakout sessions and other related tasks. Shifts will generally be two hours long, though volunteers are welcome to sign up for multiple shifts on the same day, if approved by their supervisor. If interested, please complete the Volunteer Interest Form.
