CEL Journal Post: Take 5, Part 2: Things to Do in the Middle of Class in Five Minutes or Less

While mid-semester is a great time for big-picture reflection and course adjustments, meaningful learning also happens in the small moments during class. Quick, low-prep activities can reinforce key concepts, encourage engagement and help students develop effective learning strategies. In Part 2 of our Take 5 series, we follow up on Part 1 with a discussion of five-minute exercises that require little to no preparation, but can make a big impact by fostering critical thinking, collaboration and deeper connections to the course material.
