Attend the June 5 Ribbon Cutting of the Hawkinson Welcome Center

Join the Kutztown University and Kutztown community for the ribbon cutting of the Hawkinson Welcome Center at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, June 5. Refreshments and building tours will be provided. The new Hawkinson Welcome Center includes a renovation of the Poplar House and a new 10,300 square foot addition, which includes a lobby and gathering space with a reception/information counter with interactive displays and kiosks; a large multi-purpose meeting room, capable of both table seating for receptions or lecture style layout for presentations; a catering kitchen to support special events; offices for a portion of admissions department staff; and a lounge for student tour guides. The building will be named in honor of university president, Dr. Kenneth S. Hawkinson.

Spirit Fridays

Fridays at KU are Spirit Fridays. All faculty, staff, students and the community are encouraged to wear maroon and gold and/or Kutztown University apparel on Fridays throughout the year. The KU Campus Store offers 20% off apparel and gifts the first Friday of every month as part of its First Friday Sale (in-store and online).
