Are You Using AI to Move Your Business Forward?

The Kutztown University Small Business Development Center, in collaboration with the U.S. Small Business Administration, Women's Business Center at ASSETS, Kutztown University Extended Learning Office and KU Advance, will host a free workshop for entrepreneurs and small-business owners 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 202 Academic Forum. The first hour will feature practical artificial intelligence training led by Dr. Carl J. Sheperis, vice provost and dean of Graduate Studies. Sheperis will explore how entrepreneurs can use AI more intentionally to support business goals, improve productivity, solve problems and turn business plans into action. Attendees will also learn about SBA resources and small-business funding from Kimberly Stout of the U.S. Small Business Administration and market research strategies from Rachael Wolfe of the Kutztown University SBDC. The workshop is free and open to entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs and existing business owners. Food and refreshments will be provided, followed by free professional headshots from 7-7:30 p.m.

Homecoming Spirit Stations

Homecoming is right around the corner and the Office of Student Involvement (OSI) is proud to announce the theme and logo for Homecoming 2026: One Team One Roar. To get everyone into the Homecoming spirit, OSI is asking for participation in hosting spirit stations. Spirit stations will be held across campus during the free hour, 11 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Oct. 22. Students can stop by your office or designated location, get into the Homecoming spirit, pick up swag, snacks, or do a short activity, and feel the Golden Energy in the air. If you are interested in hosting a spirit station, please fill out the Spirit Station Sign Up. The form closes Sunday, Oct. 18, so they can get details announced to the students. Social Media Training

The Office of University Relations is hosting a Social Media Training for KU employees and students who manage university social media accounts. This one-hour, in-person training is highly encouraged for all employees who have social media responsibilities. Topics will include university brand standards, AI best practices, managing comments, account responsibility and more. Registration is required. Please attend one of the two remaining training sessions available in September.
