From Salon to Stage: Works by Fauré and Ravel

Music faculty members come together 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 23, Schaeffer Auditorium, for a night of French chamber music at its finest. Featuring Maria Asteriadou, piano, Kurt Nikkanen, violin, Peter Isaacson, viola and Sam Ou, cello, this concert invites you to experience the shifting musical landscapes of Fauré and Ravel. A performance not to be missed.

Dissertation Defense for Kaitlyn Herling

Please join the College of Education 1 p.m. Monday, March 23, 245 Beekey, for a public dissertation defense by Kaitlyn Herling, "No hablo español, But My Students Do: A Self-Study to Understanding How Teacher Positionality and Experiences Manifest in Pedagogy and Praxis." The dissertation chair is Dr. Amber Pabon and the committee members are Dr. Christopher Weiler and Dr. George Sirrakos.

Epilepsy Association Presentation on Seizure Recognition, Treatment and PNES

The National Alliance on Mental Illness, Kutztown University Chapter (NAMI KU) is hosting Sarah Kuhns from the Epilepsy Association of Western and Central PA as their spring guest speaker 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 30, 101 Academic Forum. Kuhns will present an overview of epilepsy and seizures, including seizure recognition and first aid, treatments for epilepsy, the impact epilepsy has on learning and an introduction to Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures (PNES). The presentation will last approximately one hour and 15 minutes. Students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to attend. If you wish to obtain Act 48 credits for this presentation, please bring your PPID number. Registration is required.

Bogovic Named Rookie of the Year, Four Named to Women's Bowling All-Conference Teams

The 25th-ranked Kutztown University women's bowling team placed four student-athletes on the All-East Coast Conference Teams, headlined by ECC Rookie of the Year and All-ECC First Team bowler Madilyn Bogovic. Joining Bogovic on the All-ECC squads is sophomore Kamryn Brenneman, who was named an All-ECC Second Team bowler, and the duo of Isabella Hopper and Sydney Snyder, who each claimed a spot on the Third Team.
