A group of 40 KU students left Lytle Hall at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, on a bus trip to the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. Students enjoyed exhibits on Native American veterans, treaties, fiber arts, narrative art of the Plains and much more. For lunch, they also experienced Indigenous foods from around Turtle Island at the Mitsitam Cafe. Thanks to the Department of English and the KU Diversity Office for sponsoring this trip.
