Join Dr. Philip Cavalier on his first day as university president, Monday, July 7, with meet-and-greet opportunities across campus (listed below in Upcoming Events calendar). Dr. Cavalier will tour campus in the morning, with a featured event in the afternoon (please note location changes). Students, faculty and staff are all invited to attend and welcome Dr. Cavalier to the KU community. Wear your KU spirit wear.

Social Equity Policies Training

Pursuant to the university's Anti-Harassment, Anti-Discrimination, Sexual Misconduct and Amorous Relationships Policies, the Office of Social Equity will offer Social Equity Policies training sessions via Zoom. Zoom links will be emailed to participants a day or two prior to the training. Register online.

Reminder: All faculty and staff members must take the Social Equity Policies training on a yearly basis. If you cannot recall when you last completed the training, please contact the Office of Social Equity and we will be glad to check our records. If you would like to schedule an in-person training for your department, please send a request by email to socialequity@kutztown.edu or contact the Office of Social Equity at extension 3-4700. Please obtain approval from your supervisor if necessary.

Dr. Tracy Driehaus Named Assistant Dean for Clinical Education and Partnerships

The College of Education is pleased to announce that Dr. Tracy Driehaus has been selected as the assistant dean for Clinical Education and Partnerships. Driehaus brings a wealth of experience in educator preparation, school-university partnerships and clinical practice. Her leadership this past year has been instrumental in advancing collaborative initiatives that bridge theory and practice and she is deeply committed to supporting teacher candidates and school partners alike. 
The Office of Clinical Education and Partnerships, formerly known as the Office of Clinical Experiences and Partnerships, serves as a vital hub for teacher licensure programs and school district collaborations across the university, regardless of college affiliation. Under Driehaus' leadership, the office will continue to:
 -Provide collective oversight and responsibility for clinical education
 -Support all teacher licensure programs through strategic partnerships and placements
 -Advance a cohesive vision for systemic collaboration that results in collective impact.
This name change and leadership selection reflect the evolving direction of the field and the university's commitment to innovation, excellence and meaningful engagement with our educational partners. Please join us in congratulating Driehaus on her new role.
