Return to Standard Administrative Office Hours

Offices will return to standard administrative business hours Monday, Aug. 18. Standard business hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a one-hour lunch.

2025 Welcome Week Events

We're excited to kick off this year's Welcome Week for our new Golden Bears starting the evening of Thursday, Aug. 21. The festivities will continue into the first weeks of classes with tons of events designed to help new students connect with each other, explore campus and have fun. Friday, Aug. 22 is a required day for all new students and will feature some of our favorite KU traditions, including convocation at 1 p.m. followed by college-specific meetings and more. DSW Dissertation Defense by Samantha Perales

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Department of Social Work are pleased to announce Samantha Perales will defend her Doctor of Social Work dissertation, “Academic Persistence and Rural Social Work Students: an analysis of factors impacting decisions to persist,” 10 a.m. to noon, Friday, Aug. 15, via Zoom. The dissertation chair is Dr. Janice Gasker.

University Writing Center Fall 2025 Information

The Kutztown University Writing Center opens Monday, Aug. 25. Below is information to share with your students and add to your syllabi and/or D2L pages. Please have your students reach out to the KU Writing Center for help and to schedule an in-person or online writing session concerning papers for any subject or discipline.

Making an appointment:

  • In-person sessions: call 610-683-4733, visit 100C Rohrbach Library or email wrcenter@kutztown.edu to set up an appointment.
  • Online sessions: to begin using the WCOnline site and schedule an online session, please go to https://kutztown.mywconline.com. See our website for additional helpful instructions and screenshots.

Our fall 2025 in-person hours are 2-6 p.m. Sunday, 2-8 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Our fall 2025 online hours are 2-6 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, and noon to 4 p.m. Friday.

Faculty who would like schedule an in-person or Zoom information session about the UWC or any in-class writing information sessions (the writing process, writing stress, citation styles, etc.), please email or fill out our Google form.
