Celebrate Women's History Month
In honor of Women's History Month this March, Kutztown University is proud to present a series of special events designed to foster connection while honoring, celebrating and uplifting women (Molly Jong-Fast, keynote speaker, pictured). Through art, performance, history and educational programming, these events will amplify the voices, experiences and contributions of women. The Women's Center at Kutztown University is spearheading the coordination of these events, offering the campus community a meaningful opportunity to engage with the themes of Women's History Month. These initiatives aim to bring joy and recognize the valuable contributions or women, alongside historical and current struggles for gender equity. In partnership with departments and centers across campus, including the Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies program, the KU Department of Art Education, Office for Student Involvement, the McFarland Student Union, the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance (FMLA) and the Multicultural Center, we warmly invite you to gather and join us. All are welcome.

Total Lunar Eclipse – Tuesday
In the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 3, the moon will pass completely into Earth's shadow in a beautiful total lunar eclipse. During totality, the moon will glow a deep copper-red as sunlight is filtered through Earth's atmosphere, scattering the blue light into our sky and projecting the red light onto the lunar surface. For observers in eastern Pennsylvania, the eclipse will unfold just before sunrise, with the moon hanging very low in the western sky as it becomes fully eclipsed. Because this occurs at full moon, the moon will set around the same time the sun rises, making this a striking pre-dawn event. No special equipment is required. The eclipse is completely safe to view with the unaided eye. Learn more about KU's astronomy degree.

Advising Information from GEPAC
As we begin advising students for Summer 2026 and Fall 2026 courses, please know there are resources available to help in selecting General Education courses. First, the General Education program and Assessment Committee website has been updated with the Summer 2026 and Fall 2026 General Education courses. These lists are especially helpful to students as they peruse the offerings and check for schedule fit in Banner. For advisors who may prefer a comprehensive and sortable list of all General Education courses, a spreadsheet with that information can be found in the first module in the content area of the GEPAC D2L page.
