Volunteer for the Science Olympiad
Science Olympiad really needs help. It's getting closer to the date and we are short-staffed. Volunteers are needed to help KU host the CE Regional Science Olympiad Thursday, March 19 (snow date: Friday, March 20). The Science Olympiad is a competition held on campus that hosts nine middle schools and 33 high schools from nine counties. More than 600 students will compete in approximately 46 events based in science disciplines such as biology, earth science, chemistry, physics, computers and technology (B Schedule/C Schedule). We need your help to make all that happen. You do not need a science background to be a volunteer. We need help with registrations, lobby info, food sales/delivery, set-up, scoring, event assistance and so much more. You can judge an event with no preparation needed. Club advisers, please get your club involved. Contact our volunteer coordinator, Dr. Michael Davis at midavis@kutztown.edu if you are interested and check out our website for more information. We look forward to having you as part of the team.

Multicultural Center and BSU Celebrate Divine Nine
KU's Multicultural Center and Black Student Union were thrilled to honor and celebrate the Divine Nine organizations at our last Ujima event Friday, Feb. 27. The Divine Nine are the historically Black fraternities and sororities that make up the National Pan-Hellenic Council: Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi, Delta Sigma Theta, Phi Beta Sigma, Zeta Phi Beta, Sigma Gamma Rho and Iota Phi Theta. Members from six out of the nine fraternities and sororities were in attendance and they stepped, strolled and educated attendees about their values after a kickoff performance from Catwalk Modeling Troupe. Thank you to BSU, Catwalk, all attendees and Laura Fenimore of the Office of Student Involvement for helping make this a successful event. We're excited to continue these meaningful partnerships with the Divine Nine.

Faculty, Students and School Partners Showcase Collaborative Work at National Conference
College of Education faculty and administrators recently joined KU students and P-12 school partners to co‑present at the National Association for School-University Partnerships Annual Conference, a national forum highlighting effective university-school collaboration. KU was represented by 17 faculty and administrators, who partnered with 21 educators and leaders from regional districts – including teachers, principals, district administrators and superintendents from Schuylkill Valley, Kutztown Area, Antietam and Reading School Districts – for a total of 38 KU and school partners presenting shared work. This strong showing reflects the depth of KU's relationships with local schools and advances the university's strategic priorities around community engagement, experiential learning and regional impact. By presenting with our school partners, KU continues to demonstrate its mission as a regional comprehensive institution committed to preparing educators and strengthening P-12 education through sustained, collaborative partnerships.
