Get Creative This Fall: Jewelry Workshops at KU

Looking for a new hobby or a creative way to spend your evenings? KU Advance is offering two jewelry-making workshops this fall.
- Advanced Fabrication: Chains & Charms, 6–8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 16 through Nov. 18, is perfect for those with previous jewelry-making experience. Explore sterling silver chainmaking, clasp styles and charm-making with prong and bezel settings. You’ll create two completely handmade pieces (a bracelet and a necklace) while expanding your jewelry-making skills. Register for Advanced Fabrication: Chains & Charms.
- Absolute Beginners Jewelry, 6–8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 15 through Nov. 17, is for those new to jewelry making. It introduces the basics of sawing, hammering and soldering, with projects including a stone-set ring, chain and a piece of your own design. Register for Absolute Beginners Jewelry.

Please avoid including Kutztown University or a P.O. Box Number in your mailing address; instead, use 425 Baldy Road. To ensure faster delivery, include your full name, room number and department name. If you are responsible for ordering for someone in another department, make sure to include that person’s full name, room number and department name. Maximize What Starfish Can Do for You

Join us for drop-in Starfish Express Workshops, 3-3:30 p.m. Tuesdays, and 11-11:30 a.m. Thursdays, now through Tuesday, Sept. 29 on Zoom. Learn how to navigate Starfish features, set up your profile, manage consultation hours, raise flags, referrals and more. International Resources for Academic Advisors

The International Office staff has updated its resources for academic advisors. Faculty can now access "Study Abroad Basics for Academic Advisors" and "International Student Basics for Academic Advisors" on the faculty and staff resources webpage. Advisors now have the ability to refer students for study abroad advising directly through Starfish.
