Feed the Bears

Join the KU Foundation Thursday, Oct. 22, as we collect donations for the KU Food Pantry. Stop by the Wiesenberger Alumni Center between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and drop off your donations. Avalanche will be waiting on the front porch, keeping a watchful eye on the donation bin. Let's come together as Golden Bears to tackle food insecurity and make sure no Bear goes hungry.

Fire Drills

This semester's fire drills are scheduled to take place over the next few weeks. When the building alarm sounds, please exit the building immediately using the nearest stairwell or exit. Proceed to the designated assembly point, which is at least 100 feet from the building, and wait for further instructions. You will be notified when the building is “all clear,” and you can re-enter the building. This is typically within seven to ten minutes of the alarm activating. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and participation in these vital fire safety practices.

Remember Everyone Deployed Button Sales

The Student Veterans of America (SVA) and Military and Veteran Services are excited to announce our Red Button Sale from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, in support of Red Fridays. The $1 red button sale will take place at the MSU front tables. Every red button purchased comes with a free coffee from either Starbucks or Book and Brew. Red Fridays are observed as a way to show support and solidarity for our deployed service members. By wearing red on Fridays, our campus community can help keep deployed soldiers and their service in our thoughts while demonstrating our continued support for those serving our country. We encourage students, faculty and staff to purchase a button, wear it on Fridays and join us in showing our support for deployed service members. Whether you have a military connection or simply want to show your support, wearing red is a meaningful way to stand with those who are currently serving. Funds raised will directly support KU military-connected students.
