December Holiday Boxes
Thank you to our entire Kutztown community for your help in donating holiday boxes to Friend, Inc. for the second round this holiday season. We more than doubled our goal again and donated 116 boxes to local families. A true campus and community partnership. Donations were collected from student groups and campus departments, as well as from the local youth wrestling and baseball/softball organizations. Together, we can make a difference.

Last Days to See Exhibition, "Stay Alive Make Art"
This is the last week to see the highly popular exhibition in Sharadin's Miller Gallery, "Stay Alive Make Art." The exhibition closes 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14. Thousands of students have come through this space, having conversations and learning about creativity, mental illness and addiction and how to help inspire students to stay alive and make art. All ages are welcome to visit the coloring lounge, play at the Lego station, add to the mega bucket list and draw on the graffiti wall. The exhibition features artwork by Amos Lemon Burkhart, the son of Ann Lemon, communication design emeriti, who died tragically in a drug and alcohol related drowning in 2018. Interactive stations throughout the gallery speak to Amos' story and artwork. Many students have expressed the need for more spaces like this on campus; come visit and get some ideas for your areas. Seeing the student artwork contributed to the exhibition gives us a particularly unique view into the mental health struggles of our students. Visit the 3D tour online.
