Designathon Returns

Designathon is a can't-miss event for Kutztown University communication design students, as it returns for its 18th annual event today, Friday, Feb. 13, Sharadin Arts Building. Kutztown University's Communication Design program has conducted this successful event for more than a decade, successfully donating nearly $2 million of free design services for non-profits organizations. This year's Designathon includes 25 clients and more than 100 KU student participants.

World Radio Day

Today is World Radio Day. KUR, the radio voice of Kutztown University, offers an array of programming. During the daytime, listeners are likely to hear a laid-back vibe of smooth pop, R&B and jazz vocals and light alternative. Student, faculty and KU's specialty shows are featured during the afternoons and evenings and encompass a wide variety of styles from rock to rap to blues to talk programming. For schedules, shows and events, go to the station’s website or follow KUR1670 on Facebook and Instagram. Fiddler on the Roof by Actors Creating Theater

Please come see your students perform Fiddler on the Roof 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, Schaeffer Auditorium. Actors Creating Theater is student acted, student run and is comprised of majors from across the university who are performing for the love of theater.

Acting Chief Lt. Justin Soumas

Chief David Drezek, Public Safety and Police Services, experienced a medical emergency Wednesday, Jan. 14, and has been home recovering. Lt. Justin Soumas will serve as acting chief while Chief Drezek is on leave. Lt. Soumas can be reached at soumas@kutztown.edu.

Bowling's Bogovic nabs Third Consecutive Conference Rookie Honor

After a strong finish at this past weekend's Mount Shootout for the No. 25 Kutztown University women's bowling team, first-year bowler Madilyn Bogovic continued her reign over conference rookies, collecting her third consecutive Rookie of the Week award from the East Coast Conference. Additionally, sophomore Kamryn Brenneman was named to the ECC Honor Roll after playing a key supporting role in the team's successful three-day outing.
