Faculty First Thursday Presentation
The College of Visual and Performing Arts will hold its Faculty First Thursday Presentation titled, "Elevating Organizational Culture by Facilitating Mental Health Disclosures at Work," 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 120 Sharadin. Refreshments provided 10:30-11 a.m. Presenters include professors Diana Ebersole and Yuxia Qian, Communication Studies. This free presentation is open to students, faculty and staff and is presented by the College of Visual and Performing Arts' dean's office.

14th Annual Social Work in the Global Environment Conference
Join us 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, for the 14th Annual Conference on Social Work in the Global Environment. The aim of this virtual conference is to contribute to the local-global perspectives in social work, utilizing the strategy: thinking globally and acting locally. The theme for the 2025 event is "Aging Across Cultures and Communities: Local and Global Trends and Innovations." This year's conference focuses on global aging trends. Presenters will provide an overview of aging trends and innovations across cultures and communities. Presentations will include topics related to mental health services in rural Pennsylvania, supporting elders with dementia, technology and looking at aging supports across cultures. The impact of such challenges and opportunities will be discussed.

Wrestling's Allison collects Conference Wrestling Athlete of the Week
After a weekend outing that featured four pins and a team-high 30 team points at the season-opening Tonee Ellis Memorial Tournament, redshirt junior Nic Allison of the seventh-ranked Kutztown University wrestling team was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Wrestling Athlete of the Week. The 125-pound Allison picked up six points in each of his five bouts on his way to the 125-pound crown at this weekend's tournament, a performance that included four pins in his last four matches. He claimed his quartet of pins in the first period, averaging 47 seconds per fall.

Kirkpatrick goes Back-to-Back in PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Week Awards
Olivia Kirkpatrick collected her second straight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week recognition. In the lone game last week for the top-ranked Golden Bears (18-0 overall, 9-0 PSAC), Kirkpatrick came up big for the Kutztown defense as her defensive save in the second half helped keep No. 2 Shippensburg off the scoreboard in a 2-0 win in the regular season finale last Saturday night, Nov. 1. It was her first defensive save in Maroon and Gold and helped KU remain unbeaten on the season at 18-0.

Tickets: Field Hockey PSAC Final Four
The Golden Bear field hockey team will host the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Final Four, Nov. 7-9, Andre Reed Stadium. KU will play in the first semifinal vs. West Chester, 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, followed by the second semifinal at 5:30 p.m. The PSAC championship game is noon Sunday, Nov. 9. Tickets are available online: $12 for adults and $7 for students (K-12). Students from PSAC institutions are free with valid student ID. Children who have not yet reached kindergarten (Pre-K) are also free. PSAC passes will be accepted. No complimentary school-issued passes will be accepted.
