Teen Library Day Brings Hundreds of Young Readers to KU
Kutztown University's College of Education hosted its annual Teen Library Day Friday, Nov. 7, Schaeffer Auditorium, welcoming approximately 400 middle school students from 10 local school districts. This inspiring event featured acclaimed author Jordan Sonnenblick, who engaged students with a lively talk, followed by a Q&A session and book signing. Students had the opportunity to interact with the author, take selfies and purchase books from the KU Campus Store, sold at near cost to make them affordable. Many groups also enjoyed campus tours and lunch before heading home. A big thank you to Dr. Roseanne Perkins, Sam Shourds, graduate assistant, and the Library Science team for organizing this long-standing tradition. This event has been connecting teens with literature since the 1990s. Special appreciation to all faculty and staff who supported the event and helped make it a success.
