Portada Receives 2025 Wiesenberger Award for Excellence in Teaching

Dr. Robert Portada III, professor and department chair of Philosophy and Government, received Kutztown University’s 2025 Arthur and Isabel Wiesenberger Award for Excellence in Teaching. The award is presented annually to a faculty member who has demonstrated superlative teaching skills and service to the university.

Traditional American Circus Arts Come to KU

Celebrate Family Day with the first event of the KU Presents! Family Series, 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, Schaeffer Auditorium. The Bindlestiff Family Cirkus will bring special guests Ellie Steingraeben, contortionist/aerialist, and Jasper Murphy, juggler/one-man band, in a program featuring an array of gob-smacking skills. Enjoy the magic of traditional American circus arts at Schaeffer Auditorium. KU faculty and staff can access discounted tickets by logging in with their MyKU login.

Kutztown Community Partnership is hosting its first Fall Fest on Main 4-10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, the 200- and 300-block of Main St. Join us for food and craft vendors, in-street dining, kids zone, line dancing, live band and so much more. We hope to see you there.
